This mock-umentary show gives a behind the scenes look into the hilarious misadventures and petty squabbles between the journalists and crew that work at the News Online Today (NOT) News Network as they struggle to make their show successful. Kev, the lead anchor who hopes this is his ticket to fame and fortune, has assembled what he thinks is a crack news team, featuring Angel, his co-anchor and lead journalist who feels the job is beneath her, Tony, a weatherman with no science background who tells the weather by feel, and Tahir, the sports analyst who has conned his way into the job to keep himself out of jail. Though they and their crew have a news broadcast that streams online nightly, they have to battle past each other’s egos, willful ignorance, and verbal abuse in order to have a show ready for the public at the end of the day.
The team brainstorms how to make the show more exciting and bring in more viewers. Greg thinks the ticket might be Search Engine Optimization, but Kev looks for a flashier answer by bringing in an outside expert to help with their branding.
